Learning to Sew...

I finally did it. I learned how to sew. I have had my mom's sewing machine forever...always hoping to figure out how to use it. We have moved around to every house we have ever been to, hauling it across the country and back. But as a result of not even being skilled enough to replace buttons up until now - the thing hasn't gotten much use. Until now. And from now on, you can just officially call me Martha. I have made bags, bags that double as hiding places,

super-hero capes,

( I even made the cute little bootie behind this little cape, but did that without the sewing machine)

laundry sacks,

and more bags. I have even cranked out a few pairs of pants for my boys, t-shirts, pj pants for myself, and a couple of pillows.

Embracing domestic life....hell, I am making out with it.
