My two best friends since elementary school, Amy and Stephanie, and I decided to start a new tradition of meeting each year around this time for a night away from the families to have some girl bonding. Each of us has a birthday in December and so instead of getting each other the "birthday/Christmas gift" which is very popular for December birthdays -- we got each other a night at a resort, a nice dinner out, and lots of laughs.
