Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at my parent's house with all the family. It was beautiful weather, and a really fun time.
The afternoon was spent with Roanin's BEST babysitting cousin, Danielle, collecting driveway rocks and throwing them in the pond. This has become one of Roanin's favorite activities at my parent's house, and will wear you out in about 4 minutes. Thank goodness for Danielle.

Off to the pond to make the rock deposits.

During the cooking, Roanin did a continuous loop around the kitchen island with Sophie's birthday dump truck. He could not be stopped or distracted. People entered the racetrack at their own risk.

The first round of gifts was filled with sheer ecstasy about the simple tissue paper. This soon changed when he figured out the gifts are underneath.

No hiding what this kid thinks about all these presents.

A little pajama snuggle from cousin DJ after dinner.

Sophie, Danielle and Roanin before gifts -- the excitement must have spurred Roanin to actually look like he was enjoying getting his picture made. Sophie did not get that memo.

Uncle Josh getting almost more enjoyment than Roanin out of the toy gun he got the little man.

"I love it when the presents are as tall as I am!"
The grand finale -- the tractor and trailer from Grandmom and Papa. A big hit.

Not sure Sophie is allowed as cargo.

He was so thrilled by all his "man toys" that he had to put the 18 wheeler matchbox car carrier INSIDE the tractor trailer. Come on...if this kid doesn't turn out to be a lumberjack, a mechanic or a wrestler...I won't believe it.

I love the picture of RoRo and all the presents! Way to capture the moment, Miss Photographer! Either we are getting better or they are getting more cooperative. Must be that we are getting better! : )
