Life on the farm...

One of Roanin's favorite activities this summer has been feeding all the animals at my parent's house. He loves it. If I ask him if he wants to go see the deer and the chicks, he will grab me around the neck (so I will pick him up) and just keep saying "chick, chick, chick, chick..." It is so cute to see. Roanin loves to help put the corn in the feeder. Here he is giving Buckley his dinner. The Little Man showing mommy where the llama is.

Buckley: "Dude, I don't mean to get into your business, but what is up with that weird lady taking all the pictures? What, is she like paparazzi?"
Roanin: "Kind of. The trick is to just act like she isn't there. Whatever you do...just don't look at the camera and eventually she gets frustrated and will stop."

Roanin inspecting the goods.

Buckley is what the deer-wise call "in-velvet" which means he is growing his new set of antlers for the winter. Roanin thinks they are HILARIOUS.

Buckley: "Dude, are you gonna look at the camera? I thought we weren't supposed to."

My lil' country boy.

Another favorite is chasing the peacocks around trying to feed them corn. They are semi-annoyed with the Little Man.

When he can't convince the peacocks to eat out of his hand, he likes to make a little pile for them so he can watch and wait to pounce. This is Baby Doe. I am sad to announce that she passed away last night. This picture is so special, because I took it just about 2 weeks ago. She had some form of pneumonia and couldn't shake it. We all loved her so much and will miss her sweet kisses.

Almost got him to look at the camera for the money shot, but to no avail. I will probably be fired.
Taking a much needed break on Grandma and Papa's bed. Just using the camera as a footrest.

My main thought here was, "Sarah lives near a Rudy's? Excellent."
