Roanin Meets the Twins

Roanin's twin cousins, Callista and Cassity (Shawn's sister Christy's girls) came over for a visit this week along with his Nana and Grampa (Shawn's parents). The twins are 2 are are so cute. Roanin really liked having some kids to hang with on "his turf." Uncle Shawn with Callista and Cassity.
Grampa and Nana with the little slugger.

It was so nice outside, we took the whole crew (including the dogs) on a walk. The girls loved the double stroller.
It was Nana's birthday, and the kids were not sure what to make of the candle on top of her piece of cake.
Roanin was smacking his lips at the possibility of a bite of cake.
Ahh....Nana has found the sure-fire way to Roanin's heart -- through his tummy!

My little man!

All three of the kids were very entertained by this toy. It appears to be calm in this picture...but it actually got pretty rowdy.

Ickabod Update

Thank you to all of you who have asked about, prayed for, and worried about Ickabod. As many of you know, Ickabod has been experiencing horrible seizures since September. They were getting so severe and hard on both him and us, that we decided this last month to put him on some epilepsy medicine to see if that would solve the problem (we weren't exactly sure if it was epilepsy or a brain tumor). Getting an MRI to see if it was indeed a brain tumor was going to be about $6000 so we opted to just try the medicine and hoped that it would help. Since being on the medicine, Ickabod has not had one seizure, which is great considering he had built up to having 4 in a day about every 2 weeks. He is doing great and feeling much better. He really is a great dog and his Mommy's best friend. We only want the best for our old man... and it seems as if this medicine is helping. He is happy as ever, and is really loving the new house. He still is a little jealous about Roanin, but knows that he is still one of the kids. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for him. It means a lot to us.

Bath time discoveries....

Bath time is always a good time around our house. Roanin has actually started throwing a little fit when I attempt to get him out of the bath. Just some cute shots of him in the water...these will be the ones he HATES me for posting later in his life. Big blue-eyed boy.
Always got his hands on his pistol...

Mom, this is embarrassing.

I love my Daddy!

We meet Daddy for lunch almost everyday, and this particular day Roanin couldn't quite make it through. And no worries, the baby's sleepiness had nothing to do with the beer bottle logo on the wall. :)

Just like my Daddy the banker...I love my cash register!!

Morning Love...

When Roanin wakes up in the morning, he comes into Mommy & Daddy's room and snuggles and plays until Dad has to get ready for work. It is the favorite time of the day for all three of us. Nah Nah Nah Nah Boo Boo...
This is my sleepy/crabby look (it usually works on my parents).

Yahoo! Standing up again!

Cutie pie...look at that crooked little half-grin. My favorite!

Up, Up, and Away...

Roanin is not only crawling, but is pulling up and cruising....he is into EVERYTHING!!! He thinks he is so hot...he insists on doing it all himself. You must see the process in pictures.
The approach...

The climb...almost there!

Success! Ahh, the view....

The dismount (this is his favorite part - notice that he is in mid-fall here). He does this part so much that he actually got a little bruise on his bum from repeatedly falling down on it.

All done....let's start over, Mommy.

I'm so hot, I can multi-task. Look at me...one hand holding me up, and one hand holding my favorite shoe (which is better known as a chew-toy).
My little busy boy could hardly be bothered for a picture.

Trying to use Mommy to pull up. His favorite!

Uncle Josh & Aunt Krista Visit

Josh and Krista came to visit for a long weekend in order to throw my parents a 25th anniversary party. They stayed with us, and things went really well with two little tykes under the age of 1 in the house. Uncle Shawn meets baby Sophie. She was very impressed by Shawn (can't you tell?...)The princess in the bouncy chair that had to pinch-hit for her normal one from home.

Uncle Josh soothing the little one.

Roanin getting a little Joshie time.
The three youngest grandchildren - Sophie, Danielle (Damaris and David's girl), and Roanin at the party for my parents.

Roanin had all the partying he could handle.
