Life Lessons

Are you one of the boring, misinformed fools who thinks you climb the ladder to get to the top of a slide?
I was, until this little man showed me the error of my ways. Obviously, he knows the right way to do it.

"It's more fun that way, Mommy." Just like it is more fun to roll around in the grass in your favorite boots after you slide back down before doing it all over again.
So glad I have a boy to teach me such great life lessons.

Welcome to Earth, Mars

My Little Peanut

Little Man had to go to the allergy/asthma doctor recently, due to this awful chronic wheezing cough he gets this time of year. While we were there, they wanted to go ahead and do the full meal deal testing on his back. Yep...you guessed it. Needles, a two-year-old, a five-month-old stow-away, a thirty minute waiting period of not touching recently needled-parts....it wasn't pretty.
But we survived, and came to the conclusion that peanuts are for sure off the menu for this kid. My poor little peanut.

Let the Bathing Begin

Guess who has a bath partner?
Amazing that the kid can suck his thumb in the bathtub (notice his need to use his other hand to keep the thumb in place. nice. )

My Little Hunter

Shawn Juan brought home the bacon, literally, again this year. Except it is not really bacon....venison this time. Nice work, sweetie. We are proud of you. :)

Goodbye Stinky December, Hello Happy January

Well...Thanksgiving was the last time I posted, and for good reason. Since Thanksgiving, one of our two kids has been sick every single day. You heard me right, Internet...our kids have been sick FOR A MONTH. And there is a possibility that that fact is the highlight of the last month. It has been quite a rough go around here for some reason. And as I just sat down to finally post all the cute little pictures of my boys at Christmas (one of them experiencing his FIRST Christmas) I just figured out that the cd I used to download all the pictures on was possibly bad. And of course, for the first time in my life, I deleted all the pictures after putting them on the before mentioned faulty cd.
So, until I can figure out if all the Christmas pictures are gone forever...here are the only holiday-ish pictures I have.

Good thing these little monkeys are so cute, or I could perhaps be in a bad mood about this whole situation...a continuation of the last month's trend. But honestly, how can you look at these two little cuties and not just grin until you get cheek cramps?
Okay...enough messing around....back to my littlest one who has a nasty case of RSV. sigh......I am giving our luck a 3 day pass into January. But tomorrow I know it is going to the start of the no-sickness, finding deleted pictures filled shiny new year.
