The Burleson girls: Hayley, Stephanie, Amy, Me, and Misty. That belly is finally starting to grow! Bring on the babies!!

Here are just a few random shots of Mr. Man.Hello to all my fans. My little devil.

This is Roanin's morning look.

You talkin' to me?

New Friends

The holidays allowed us to catch up with several friends, and allowed Roanin to meet some of our closest ones for the first time. Although, true to form, Roanin was timid and just downright mad when we forced him to be photgraphed with them. Roanin, Shawn, and our good friends the Bonges (Herb, Maxine, and Uncle Ron).
Uncle Ron tried to get a little Roanin love, and you can see how that played out...

Roanin and I met Amy and Kyle in Austin on the way back from Corpus. Amy is pregnant with twins...although you wouldn't know it by that skinny body!

Roanin and Kyle hamming it up at lunch. Roanin played a funny trick on Kyle by making him think they were buddies at lunch, only to sing a different tune after lunch....

Note the face when actually being held by Kyle. On second thought...maybe it was Amy that bothered him. Just kidding, Aim.

We had dinner at our good friends new home, Tonya, Kylie, and Lynn Glass. Roanin is more interested in the puppy than the hosts.

Mommy and Roanin's Trip to Corpus

Roanin and Mommy drove to Corpus Christi to see Roanin's newest cousin, baby Sophie (She was about 2 weeks old). We had a great trip....Roanin did really good on the drive. Six hours and he didn't even fuss! He loved seeing Sophie (so did Mommy!). Thanks for the great weekend guys!Introducing: Sophia Ruth Ritzmann The proud Mommies and their little munchkins.Me and Sweet Sophia.
Uncle Josh and "Cougar" (Josh's new nickname for Roanin who insists on growling like a wild animal to get people to pay attention to him).
"I didn't know anyone else knew how to scream in order to get what you want from your parents. Keep that secret quiet, sista. Don't ruin the game I have going."
Proud Aunt Sissy and her little cuddlebug.
The proud new parents giving The Princess her bath.
Roanin's first look at the ocean.

The sweet little family...Josh, Krista and Sophie.

Christmas Morning....

I am finally getting around to posting the pictures from Christmas morning at our new house. It was just the three of us, and we had a ball. Poor Shawn stayed busy putting all the new toys together. Roanin had fun opening more presents (and then proceeding to play with the packaging). Roanin's Nana and Grampa (Shawn's Mom and Dad) gave Roanin a little car for Christmas. As soon as we put him into it, he grabbed onto the steering wheel like it was made for him. He loves it!
No road rage here...only happy driving from this little guy.

Roanin's 1st Haircut

Roanin recently had his very first haircut. His Grandma (Sarah's mom) went with us to take some pictures of the big event. Her camera was a little messed up, so the pictures are blurry...but you can still see the chain of events. Pre-haircut. Just putting on the smock-thing. Things deceivingly seem to be okay...

Wrong. Not a fan of the clippers. Things got a little bit better when we both got into the double-headed smock.

Post-haircut. Still very shaken up. Needs Mommy.

Shawn's recent hunts

Shawn recently shot a deer and a wild pig so we have some meat to eat for this year. Both were pretty exciting.
I have a horrible feeling that I am going to get a lot of complaints from both PETA people and CPS...please don't blame me. I was helpless between Daddy and Papa to get this picture. Give me a break.... Daddy explaining what the antlers are all about to his little mini-me. The deer field dressed out at 125 lbs.

The pig field dressed out at 225 lbs. Ickabod (the Dalmation) was particularly upset by this kill...he was trying to convince us that this was a distant relative (get it...the spots?).

Roanin's First Christmas Eve

The Dunsmores, Neelleys, and Ritzmanns (including Dutchess) on Christmas Eve. We are missing Joshie, Kritter and baby Sophia.

Mommy and her favorite little boy.
Daddy and the same favorite little boy.

The theme of the evening...Roanin likes the packaging of the presents often more than the present itself.

The three musketeers.

Roanin trying to figure out what he thinks about his Papa.

My little Christmas present.

This little guy is more interested in the paper than the actual present.

The family all together (notice Roanin chomping on some wrapping paper while is negligent parents smile blissfully).

Roanin opening his first gift with his cousins Danielle and Derrick and Grandma (Sarah's mom).

Roanin really warmed up to Damaris on Christmas Eve. She had him giggling in no time...

Welcome Baby Sophie....

Congrats to my brother Josh, and sister-in-law Krista who welcomed Sophia Ruth Ritzmann into the world on December 21, 2007 . She was 8 lbs. 1 oz. She is beautiful! I can't wait to hold her and Roanin can't wait to terrorize her. Congrats you guys! We are so proud!

Santa, Baby!

Here are some quick pictures of Roanin's Christmas photo shoot (trying to get a picture for the Christmas card). He had fun in the Santa hat (although I did have some trouble fitting it on his big head). Check out those thighs! There is some power in those little tree trunks! My blue-eyed baby.

The winning picture. He looks on the verge of mischief....

By the end of this procedure, we both felt the way he looks here.
